Other is the fifth project by Bedsit Technicians, a collaborative partnership instigating multimedia events with deliberately blurred edges. This is the first time they have organised and curated an event which includes the work of
other artists.
Other was hosted at the Century Gallery and included work submitted by five other specially invited international artists. These were Yasuhiro Fujiwara, Hiroko Kamogawa, David Little, Debra Scacco and
Hiroshi Watanabe.
Other, as the title suggests, is hard to define, less about subjectivity but rather about building an atmosphere of foreboding with solace, if any, to be found in the past, personal or physical.
