| Unfinished Business
Spitz Gallery, London 2001
Unfinished Business will present work as yet not fully realised, but which in it's preparatory state has it's own significance.
Unfinished Business is the practicality behind the vision and the gathering of invisible texts. It is the potential and raw material leaving the viewer to construct the possibilites of what might be.
Castle is an eight piece timber mould for the building of a giant sand castle, proportionally accurate to a childs sand castle bucket bought from a windswept Margate gift shop. It is the complexity behind the monumental adult version of the lost simplicity of chilhood.
Nav is a collection of radio communications scanned and recorded through a multiband receiver unit. They are sound intended for an unrealised movie sountrack project. The sound is delivered via an arrangement of loudspeaker units which are suspended and placed facing Castle, interacting with it. The sountrack is projected into the solid, immense mass. Communications fromthe last days of Babal.
